HIS STORY REPEATS ITSELF

GEORGE W BUSH BROUGHT US, "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" AND, "THEY'RE IN THE LAST THROES." HE ASSURED US THAT THE WAR WAS JUST SWIMMING ALONG.

WELL, MAYBE NOT SWIMMING. MAYBE DROWNING.
HE ORDERED A SURGE TO CONTROL THE VIOLENCE.

ON DECEMBER 4, 2007 BUSH SAID, “THE BASICS IN THE ECONOMY ARE GOOD. INFLATION IS LOW, JOB CREATION IS GOOD, INTEREST RATES ARE LOW, PRODUCTIVITY IS UP, EXPORTS ARE UP. IN OTHER WORDS, THE BASIC UNDERPINNINGS OF THE ECONOMY ARE STRONG.”

UH OH....SOUNDS LIKE SURGE-TIME.
YES, GET READY FOR THE NEWEST IN SURGES....THE ECONOMY SURGE!

ABOUT ONE MONTH LATER, ON JANUARY 17, 2008, PRESIDENT BUSH SPOKE WITH CONGRESSIONAL LEADERS, AGREEING UPON AN ECONOMIC RESCUE
PACKAGE, AND SAID THAT IT IS, "CRITICALLY IMPORTANT"
THAT A STIMULUS EFFORT TAKE EFFECT QUICKLY."

You sound like a Monday morning quarterback, What would you do about the economy.

Don't worry...Hillary will soon be our president. I can see it now: world peace, health insurance for all, well paying jobs for everyone, the entire world will love and adore us, the environment will be saved, special interest groups will no longer have any power, the change will be immediate and amazing...I can't wait.

GEE...A MONDAY MORNING QUARTERBACK IS SOMEONE WHO SAYS, "THIS IS WHAT WE SHOULD HAVE DONE."

I WOULD PREFER A SUNDAY QUARTERBACK WHO TELLS THE TRUTH....THE WAR WAS GOING BADLY AND THE ECONOMY IS IN TROUBLE.

DEAR ME SAID,

WHILE YOUR OPTIMISM IS ENCOURAGING, I THINK YOU'LL BE DREADFULLY DISAPPOINTED.
IF...IF... HILLARY BECOMES OUR NEXT PRESIDENT WE STILL WON'T HAVE WORLD PEACE. WEAPON SYSTEMS WILL STILL BE AMOUNG OUR LARGEST EXPORTS. MANY WILL CONTINUE HATING US.
HEALTH INSURANCE FOR EVERYONE WOULD BE SUPER...BUT WELL PAYING JOBS ARE FOR A MINORITY OF AMERICANS, AND FOR THE OTHERS, A THING OF THE PAST.
HILLARY IS NOT THE ANTIDOTE FOR BUSH POISONING.
THERE IS NO REMEDY FOR THE ILLNESS HE HAS CONTAMINATED US WITH.

One of the interesting and pathetic things about Gearge W. is that he can't figure it out as a quaterback even on Monday morning.

That "cousin " you refer to in your profile,
Would his name be
SASHA BORAK?

UH.... COULD IT BE THAT MAYBE THE MEXICANS ARE COMING OVER THE BORDER TO RECLAIM THE STATE OF TEXAS.............???? IT WAS THEIRS, THEN WE 'TOOK ' IT FROM THEM...........MAYBE THEY JUST WANT IT BACK!!!

Wow! You are getting very insightful!!!

Quicksand, the "Illness" you speak of existed long before Bush and will continue into the future...no matter who is elected. You may feel better if it is one person over another, but nothing will truly change. It can't...give up.

DEAR MRS T,
I AGREE WITH YOU. THE PROBLEMS THIS COUNTRY ARE FACING WERE NOT INVENTED BY BUSH. OUR VERY SYSTEM IS COLLAPSING BY THE WEIGHT OF IT'S OWN SUCCESS.
MANY OF OUR LEADERS, PAST AND PRESENT, HAVE ALLOWED OUR SYSTEMS TO FALL DEEPLY INTO DISREPAIR.
SOCIAL SECURITY, IMMIGRATION, ENVIRONMENT, ENERGY, ETC.
BUSH JUST HAPPENS TO BE THE WORST AMOUNG MANY BAD 'LEADERS.'
WE, THE PUBLIC, ARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE BECAUSE WE WANT OUR LEADERS TO MAKE US FEEL GOOD.
"DOES THIS POLICY MAKE MY BUTT LOOK BIG?"
THEY ANSWER, "NO BABY."

Dear Quicksand,

What the f**k is wrong with you? After seven years don't you know that Dubya is an inveterate liar? A definition of insanity is repeating the exact same action and expecting a different outcome. Are you like Crazy Eddie, "INSANE!" Bush sucks, plain and simple. Here's an a-hole who goes to the Middle East to try to stabilize the unrest and promote peace by giving 20 billion in weapons to a non stable non democratic Saudi Arabia. Oh right, they have oil. Bush's policies in the Middle East have sure kept the price of oil and gas down,Right? NFW!!! George Orwell rides again! 2000-2008 is 1984 redux.

What the f**k is wrong with you? How can you compare 2000-2008 to Orwell's fictional world of 1984? George W makes George O look like a cock-eyed optimiist

DEAR HAZE,
I FEEL LIKE SUCH A K****** FOOL.
YES, OF COURSE, MR. BUSH IS A LIAR. BUT, HE'S OUR LIAR.
ANYWAY, HE DOES A MEAN ARABIAN SWORD DANCE.

Has there ever been a time in our country's history when our goverment hasn't sold weapons to questionable characters or governments? Have we ever had a president who told the truth?

Dear Ben's Friend,

Perhaps I should have put a smiley face icon after my last message so you would have been able to figure out the ironic and sardonic cynicism that my naturally sarcastic voice would have dripped all over that statement, not to mention a nod and a wink. That's the trouble with the written word sometimes. It doesn't convey emotion, just intellect.

Nevertheless- it appears that you and I are on the same page: Dubya is a lying scumbag who has the opposite of the Midas touch!

COMRADE ANON,

GOVERNMENTS LIE. SHOULD WE ACCEPT IT?
WE LIVE IN THE PRESENT AND THIS GOVERNMENT IS DOING
INDUSTRIAL-STRENGTH LYING.

DEAR HAZE,
NO NEED FOR MR. SMILEY-FACE. I UNDERSTOOD.
SEE, MY RESPONSE HAD THE SAME FUZZ.

The same back at ya! My little piece was meant to emphasize your sentiments and add a supersized exclamation point. "That's the problem with the writen word..."

By the way, apparently we are not the only ones on the same page. I just read about a poll which determined that 78% of Americans believe that Bush mislead the nation into war with Iraq. Although that figure should be 99% (we must leave some wiggle room here for Laura and Barney)and it should have occurred in 2002, at least there is evidence of intelligent life out there in the heartland.
