GAS

THAT GUY WITH THE SUBURBAN TANK HUMS PAST . WE SMILE AT HIS RHINO-GUARDS WHILE THINKING OF THE CASH HE POURS INTO HIS ROLLING ZIP CODE JUST TO GET IT TO THE MALL WHERE IT OVERWHELMS A PARKING SPACE.
WE’RE AMUSED BY THE MONEY HE FEEDS INTO HIS PETROLEUM WOOD-CHIPPER, MERELY TO RIDE HIGH AND WIDE WHILE PLAYING ROAD WARRIOR.
BUT, THE ROAD WARRIORS ARE NOT JUST SPENDING THEIR OWN MONEY AT THE SERVICE STATION.
THEY’RE SPENDING OURS AS WELL.
ITS BASIC SUPPLY AND DEMAND REALLY.
AS THEIR GUZZLING INCREASES DEMAND ---AND IT DOES--- THEY PUSH THE PRICE UP FOR EVERYBODY.
SO, WHILE THEY PAY FOR USING MORE GALLONS, WE ALL PAY A HIGHER PRICE FOR EACH GALLON WE USE.

Come on Bruce! Stop being so cynical and negative. They need those those big 4 wheel drive SUV's with the high wheel clearance. You can never tell when you may encounter sand or snow or a pothole in the Gap parking lot.

beautifully said, once again... Yeah, all those suburbanites with Outback envy might be better served going on walkabout and searching their souls for the meaning of it all...

Why do those big bastid hummers come with those safari packges of cattle prods and steel light cages? Is it to be less wind resistant so that they can guzzle even more gas? Seriously, most of those hummers drive on city streets or the LIE. Who needs all of that extra crap? Oh, it's all for show-to make them seem to have bigger penises. Long live the madness of King George who puts a familiar twang on the adage "Bush League!"

A PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE WOULD BE INTERESTING.

Iceland has a population of 350,000 people and introduced their first hydrogen station in 2005. This tiny country is very concerned with pollution and its environmental health. Americans should take a lesson from them instead of following our leader cowboy.
